Scripture of the day

Praise the LORD (Have you praised Him?)

Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights!  Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts! Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all stars of light!  Praise Him, highest heavens, And the waters that are above the heavens! Let them praise the name of the LORD, For He commanded and they were created. Psalm 148:1-5

Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me. And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth (John 11:41 - 11:43 KJV)
Thanking and praising God is the only route to recover from all the failures that has occurred in our lives! When you are praising God you have nothing that disturbs you because your heart is filled with the spirit of joy and praise.

Things that have been dead, stinking, the only thing that can make them fresh, alive again is praising and thanking God. Jesus Christ said, thank you Father for you have heard me, not you shall, will, might or can, you have already heard(past tense) Jesus Christ knew that God hears Him without doubt, when you give thanks what is impossible becomes possible.

Uzzah was put to death for touching the Ark of the Covenant when the Ark of God was being brought to the City of Jerusalem, David then rescheduled the process. But after three months David heard Obed-edom who accommodated the Ark was blessed beyond measure, the only way for David to bring the Ark into Jerusalem was by praising God. David brought the Ark of the covenant into Jerusalem by praising God and dancing to The Lord like never before, even the wife despised him in her heart:

He was not willing to take the Ark of the Lord to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite. The Ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite for three months, and the Lord blessed him and his entire household. Now King David was told, “The Lord has blessed the household of Obed-Edom and everything he has, because of the Ark of God.” So David went to bring up the Ark of God from the house of Obed-Edom to the City of David with rejoicing. When those who were carrying the Ark of the Lord had taken six steps, he sacrificed a bull and a fattened calf. Wearing a linen ephod, David was dancing before the Lord with all his might, while he and all Israel were bringing up the Ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets. As the Ark of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David leaping and dancing before the Lord, she despised him in her heart. (2 Samuel 6:10-16 NIV)
What the carnal mind says is the last thing you must do, that should be the first thing you must do and all things will be well with you.
Jesus thanked God before speaking to the stinking body of Lazarus, David danced to The Lord for the Ark to be brought into Jerusalem. Before Jesus could command life in the dead Lazarus, he said Father I thank you, I know that you always hear me! but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me, Jesus was confident of Lazarus living again

(My personal testimony)
I saw my wife being reunited with me on the 6th Oct before it even happened. I left them in Zimbabwe on the 16th of Sept, I told my wife and my in-laws that in three weeks my wife and children will be with me in the UK! I remember when I was thanking God for a safe journey on the altar, I said "in two weeks time we will be celebrating" it was not just talking, I had already thanked my God for it, amen!

I am not telling you a try & error exercise, neither am I fabricating stories or enticing you with things that have no evidence! I am not saying probably God will do, or either to say He might be able, I am telling you God is able.

The three Hebrew boys were not joking when they say we only worship the God of Israel no other gods, they said our God is able, Dan 3:16-18
The situation was real, the fire was seven time heated to the extend that those who throw them in the furnace died Dan 3:22, but the Daniel and his brothers who had confidence in God lived! you also must have confident in your God!

The voice that wakes up the dead is the one that has praised/thanked God first, last week I say prayer must be accompanied by praise, if its not accompanied by praise and thanks giving it will be fruitless. "Lazarus come forth" was said after, "father I thank you" which means whole sets, fruitfulness, life giving words comes from a mouth full of thank you to God, when you give thanks to God what has been barren becomes fruitful and where the enemy has been fruitful in your life will becomes barren.

After dancing to The Lord for the Ark to be in Jerusalem, Mical despised Daivd and she is the only woman who was barren in the whole of Israel! it should be a lesson for us not to mock or despise praising and dancing to the Lord. Praise and dance to The Lord and He will scatter your enemies!
Wholeness come upon everyone who returns the glory to the Father, Luke 17:11-19, ten lepers were told to go and show them selves to the priest. At that time for a leper to be accepted in the society a priest has to sign you off! Many lives have been signed off in many ways but as you are returning the glory to the one it is due you will continue to be still standing, maybe somebody signed you off as "useless" but a champion is rising out of you that is useful in this generation.

When the 10 lepers were going to show themselves to the priest, they were cleansed, thank God they had faith to follow the instruction of Jesus, thank God we have men and women that have heed to the instructions of Jesus Christ to speak the word of God, thank God we have Christians that are saying we are children of the most High God.

When the lepers saw that they were cleansed one out of ten which means 10% of the Christians return the glory to God other 90% they would say it was my wisdom, it was my lawyer, some even say if it wasn't my prayers you wouldn't have achieved the things you have! Ah, are you now God? Why do I have to take glory of what is not mine, God does not share His glory, Jesus said  when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.'"Luke 17:10

Return the glory to the One it is due, give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and give to God what belong to God. "By myself I can do nothing" John 5:30 Christ never said, I am the one doing it, I do as I see my father doing, go back to God and thank Him!

James said,
What causes fights and quarrels among you? Don’t they come from your desires that battle within you? You desire but do not have, so you kill. You covet but you cannot get what you want, so you quarrel and fight. You do not have because you do not ask God. When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures. You adulterous people, don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
(James 4:1-4 NIV)
When you have a wrong motive to the things you are asking, God will see it and God will not grant it to you as simple as that! He can't lower His standards because of anything no matter how many days you fast, His ears are closed to hear a prayer of a proud person, anybody with wrong mindset please change now otherwise you are delaying God's promises for your life.

The gathering of material things is OK, preparing and saving for the future of your children is best but not to be ostentatious -

And he told them this parable: “The ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant harvest. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.’ “Then he said, ‘This is what I’ll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store my surplus grain. And I’ll say to myself, “You have plenty of grain laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry.”’ “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?’ “This is how it will be with whoever stores up things for themselves but is not rich toward God.” Luke 12:16-21

What then shall we say in response to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us? Romans 8:31
